Rick Reading

It is with great sadness to report that Rick Reading, former Sales and Marketing Director of Topper International Limited, passed away on Saturday 6^th December, following a brief illness at the age of 66.

Rick recently retired in August this year, after 25 years at TI. He was a great friend to the International Topper and International Topper classes around the world.

The International Committee, and we are sure everyone else in the ‘Topper family’ will join us, extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mandy, Rick’s wife, and Emma his daughter, and to the rest of their family.

Rick was of course heavily involved with the Topper and a great supporter, always ready to listen to and support the Class. Not only did he help develop the class worldwide and instigate the many improvements to the Topper over the years, but he was also an integral part of the most recent developments in the boat.

Rick was a gentleman and a ‘gentle man’. He has been tragically taken from us after such a short time following his retirement. He will be sorely missed by his family, his colleagues and his many, many friends.
