Entries for the Topper Worlds 2021 to open in February.
ITCA (World) wishes all Topper sailors and familes around the world a very happy New Year and we look forward together to a much better 2021!
With Ireland currently under a full COVID 19 lockdown for the whole of January, the final planning for the International Topper World Championships at the Royal Cork Yacht Club from the 24 - 30th July is still to be completed, which has led to a delay in opening the entry.
Whilst ITCA (World) had planned for entries to open at the beginning of January, the RCYC issued a statement today saying, ‘We are finalising the NoR now and planning for the 2021 Topper Worlds is still in full force and we will look to open registration at the beginning of February.'
ITCA Ireland are keen to showcase the Topper as the youth class to sail in Ireland, with a great summer of top-class racing planned for 2021. The Irish Nationals is scheduled for the 2-4th July at Strangford Lough YC, a great warm up event for the Topper 4.2 and 5.3 World Championships in Cork at the end of the month, followed immediately by the UK National Championships in Ballyhome 2 days later. What better way to spend July in beautiful Ireland!
